Reliability and Maintainability Engineer – ILS

About the role

Thales is seeking a Reliability and Maintainability Engineer to join its Airspace Mobility Solutions team in Paço de Arcos, Portugal. You will lead technical streams on Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) projects that deliver world‑leading air traffic control technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and support ILS activities, including deliverables, support strategy, system specification, verification, validation and test plans.
• Conduct Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) tasks such as failure mode analysis, reliability‑centered maintenance and repair analyses.
• Validate and develop support inventory procurement, distribution strategies and test equipment requirements.
• Develop, review, update and distribute technical documentation and maintenance/support plans.
• Coordinate subcontractors and manage warranty support/repair claims.
• Perform Reliability, Availability, Maintainability (RAM) and Life Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis and modeling.
• Optimize spares modeling, support contract strategies and cost updates, including quantitative risk assessments and trade‑off negotiations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Integrated Logistics Support Management, engineering or analysis.
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Formal training in ILS or Supportability Engineering.
• Proven experience with LSA, FMECA, RCM, MTA, LORA, LCC, RAM, TNA and technical publications.
• Strong written and oral English proficiency and willingness to travel for business.
