Project Buyer – Procurement for New Product Development

About the role

Join a fast‑growing global organisation as a Project Buyer, supporting new product development for a leading sanitary brand. You will work from our Albergaria site in a flexible hybrid model, collaborating with international teams across Europe, the US, China and Thailand.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project purchasing for new product development initiatives.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for project components.
• Conduct international procurement of assemblies and components.
• Select suppliers and lead contract negotiations.
• Request, analyse and negotiate supplier quotations.
• Ensure delivery timelines, cost efficiency and quality standards are met.
• Monitor market trends, pricing and emerging technologies.
• Support cost‑optimisation and complexity‑reduction projects.
• Coordinate between project and series purchasing functions.
• Maintain project documentation, cost tracking and material availability for product launches.
• Participate in global project meetings and manage supplier performance.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in project buying.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proven capability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Experience working in an international environment.
• Fluent English; Portuguese is a plus.
• Technical understanding of electronics, plastics or tooling is desirable.
