Mechanical Engineer – Piping & Liquid Cooling

About the role

This permanent, full‑time position is based in the EU and involves regular travel to data‑centre sites across Europe. The role is hands‑on and site‑focused, supporting the installation, testing and commissioning of cooling and pipework infrastructure in mission‑critical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Install and assemble pipework systems for cooling infrastructure according to project drawings and specifications.
• Fabricate and fit structural supports for piping, adapting to on‑site conditions.
• Assist with installation and commissioning of cooling equipment such as CDUs and rear‑door cooling units.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and layout documents.
• Perform pressure testing, leak detection and inspections, and record results.
• Support flushing, cleaning and chemical dosing of cooling loops.
• Carry out repairs, adjustments and final handover documentation.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls and project teams to meet schedule and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Proven mechanical experience with cooling systems or pipework installations.
• Strong understanding of piping, structural supports and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Experience in system testing, inspections and repairs.
• Physically capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Valid CSCS card and EU passport with driver’s licence.
• Willingness to travel across Europe for project work.
