IB Mathematics Teacher

About the role

Vilamoura International School (CIV), part of the Inspired Education network, is seeking an enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join its secondary department for the upcoming academic year starting in August. The role involves delivering the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum as well as other international programmes to students from Key Stage 3 through to examination classes.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, rigorous Mathematics lessons for lower and upper secondary students.
• Teach across Key Stage 3 and senior examination classes, adapting content to the IB Diploma Programme and other international frameworks.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support individual learning needs.
• Contribute to the school’s values‑driven, inquiry‑based learning environment.

Required profile

• Experience teaching Mathematics within the IB Diploma Programme is highly desirable.
• Strong background in other international curricula such as Cambridge IGCSE/A Level is also welcomed.
• Ability to inspire analytical thinking, problem‑solving skills and mathematical confidence.
• Commitment to start in August for the next academic year.
