HR Specialist – Iberia (Portugal & Spain)

About the role

This hands‑on, transversal HR position supports the employee lifecycle and HR processes across Portugal and Spain. The specialist works closely with employees, managers and local stakeholders while collaborating with Group HR in Italy and other international functions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support HR operations across both countries, ensuring consistency, quality and compliance with local requirements.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers on day‑to‑day HR matters.
• Manage the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, internal mobility and off‑boarding.
• Support recruitment and selection processes, partnering with hiring managers throughout.
• Coordinate payroll, benefits and employee administration with external providers and internal stakeholders.
• Assist performance management, talent, learning & development and other people initiatives across Iberia.
• Maintain accurate HR data and systems, contributing to digitalisation and process optimisation.
• Prepare HR reports, KPIs and people analytics for local and Group reporting.
• Implement Group HR policies, processes and initiatives at the Iberian level.
• Collaborate with Group HR in Italy on international projects and ensure alignment with Group guidelines.
• Contribute to employee engagement, internal communication, culture and ESG‑related initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to standardise, simplify and improve HR processes across Portugal and Spain.

Required profile

• University degree in Human Resources, Management, Psychology, Law or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in an international or multinational environment.
• Solid experience in HR operations, including employee administration, payroll and benefits.
• Good knowledge of Portuguese labour legislation; Spanish legislation is a plus.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken); Portuguese proficiency preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Excel.
• Experience with HRIS systems, preferably SAP SuccessFactors.
