Groups & Events Coordinator

About the role

The Lisbon Marriott Hotel is looking for a proactive Groups & Events Coordinator to support the planning and execution of group banquets and events. You will act as the main point of contact for guests and internal teams, ensuring every detail meets the hotel’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Meet with groups and event hosts before functions, introduce team members and confirm arrangements.
• Read and analyse banquet event orders, gather guest information, and determine set‑up, timelines, buffet and action‑station requirements.
• Respond to special banquet requests, follow up to ensure compliance, and adjust plans as needed.
• Maintain safety and security standards, report incidents, and complete required training.
• Uphold a professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, and provide courteous, appreciative service.
• Answer telephone calls with proper etiquette and communicate clearly with colleagues.
• Support team collaboration, uphold quality standards, and perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hospitality or event coordination.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
• Proactive, creative and flexible mindset.
