French Content Moderator – Social Media Project

About the role

Join a leading social media content moderation project in Lisbon as a French Content Moderator. You will help keep online platforms safe and welcoming by reviewing user‑generated content in French and ensuring it meets community standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review, monitor and moderate French‑language content across multiple social media channels according to internal guidelines.
• Assess flagged items and act in line with legal, regulatory and community policies, including hate speech, harassment and misinformation.
• Escalate complex or sensitive cases to senior moderation and compliance teams.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency while meeting quality and productivity targets under time pressure.
• Identify trends, bugs or new violation types and report them to improve platform safety.
• Share best practices, support new colleagues and participate in ongoing training.

Required profile

• Fluent French (C1+) with strong written and spoken English for team communication.
• Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking and resilience when handling sensitive content.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an international, multicultural team.
• Basic computer literacy and quick learning of new tools.
• Eligibility to work in Portugal and flexibility for shift work, including evenings and weekends.
