Market Intelligence Correspondent

About the role

Dedale is looking for a Market Intelligence Correspondent to attend trade exhibitions and conferences across Europe and the US, produce editorial deliverables, and capture real‑time competitive intelligence for senior decision‑makers.

Key responsibilities

• Attend targeted trade exhibitions and conferences as accredited Dedale media.
• Produce published reports and short‑form video coverage for event organisers.
• Capture proprietary competitive intelligence in real time, including booth signals, product announcements, panel discussions and buyer attendance patterns.
• Transform captured intelligence into structured briefings and short‑form videos for C‑suite executives.
• Write reports, conduct interviews and create on‑the‑ground content, developing a thought‑leadership voice.
• Travel extensively to European and US conferences and trade shows.
• Coordinate with senior topic leads for events that require deeper relationships.
• Help build and lead the Lisbon office as the team and strategy mature.

Required profile

• Degree in journalism, communications or media.
• Strong relational drive and ability to approach strangers, build rapport quickly and gain event access.
• Fluent, confident English (written and spoken); additional languages such as French, German or Spanish are a plus.
• Comfortable with extensive travel across Europe and the United States.
• Excellent short‑form storytelling instincts, able to spot newsworthy moments and produce clear reports or video segments rapidly.
• Curious, observant mindset that picks up competitive signals and buyer sentiment that others may miss.
