Finance Manager – Controller (US GAAP & Statutory Reporting)

About the role

The Manager, Controller will join Mastercard Europe’s Finance division, reporting to the Director, Controller. The role oversees US GAAP and statutory reporting, rebates & incentives, and pricing & billing operations for the assigned European division.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review conversion of accounts from US GAAP to local GAAP and ensure accurate financial statements.
• Oversee the full accounting process for rebates and incentives, coordinating with the Global Business Services Center.
• Provide complex accounting advice, validate treatments, and communicate guidance to regional finance teams.
• Partner with business units during contract drafting to ensure proper revenue recognition and compliance.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to Corporate Controllers Group in New York.
• Support implementation of new pricing in the billing system and manage related billing and pricing matters.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and European statutory reporting requirements.
• Experience leading a small team (minimum two direct reports).
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with FP&A, Legal, Account Management and Regional Finance.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for advisory and stakeholder engagement.
