Field Clinical Specialist – Peripheral Interventions

About the role

The Peripheral Interventions Field Clinical Specialist acts as a clinical ambassador for Boston Scientific’s minimally invasive therapy portfolio in Puerto Rico. Working within the commercial field team, you will provide hands‑on procedural expertise, education, and support to physicians and healthcare professionals to ensure safe device use and optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver in‑person technical and clinical support for Vascular & Interventional Oncology procedures, guaranteeing safe device utilization and procedural success.
• Educate physicians, procedure teams, and healthcare staff on patient selection, therapy indications, best‑practice techniques, and appropriate use of Boston Scientific technologies.
• Plan and conduct training sessions, in‑services, workshops, and clinical presentations for physicians and customers.
• Coordinate case schedules, provide responsive clinical assistance, and build strong partnerships across assigned accounts.
• Maintain comprehensive product and clinical knowledge, stay current with published literature, and monitor competitive products and industry trends.
• Manage inventory, submit expense reports, and report product performance concerns in compliance with Quality System requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales and leadership to share clinical insights, customer feedback, and competitive intelligence that support territory growth.
• Participate in evening trade shows, weekend events, or off‑hour physician meetings as required.

Required profile

• Clinical background with experience in peripheral interventions, vascular, or interventional oncology.
• Proven ability to educate and train physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with healthcare professionals.
• Willingness to travel within the territory and attend events outside regular hours.
• Ability to manage inventory, documentation, and compliance requirements.
