About the role

Closer Consulting is looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join its Lisbon team in a hybrid work model. You will work on diverse data‑science projects for clients in banking, telecommunications, healthcare, retail, energy, insurance and aviation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, refactor and improve legacy systems.
• Design, develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, JSF and Vue.js.
• Implement micro‑services, REST/SOAP APIs and SOA architecture.
• Work with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud environments for deployment.
• Ensure high‑quality deliveries through testing, CI/CD pipelines and continuous monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and promote best development practices.

Required profile

• Strong experience with Java, Spring, Hibernate and JUnit.
• Proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud and micro‑services.
• Knowledge of JSF, PrimeFaces and Vue.js.
• Familiarity with GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus, SonarQube and JBoss.
• Fluent Portuguese and professional‑level English.
• Analytical, proactive and good communication skills.
