Electrical Site Manager - Data Center

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Site Manager to lead the electrical works on a large‑scale data centre construction project. You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, and drive the project to successful completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all electrical subcontractors and on‑site operatives.
• Ensure electrical works follow drawings, specifications and programme.
• Chair daily coordination, progress and trade interface meetings.
• Monitor installation quality, raise and close NCRs.
• Maintain detailed site diaries, workforce records and daily progress reports.
• Work with the Project Manager and MEP Coordinator to update the electrical programme.
• Coordinate electrical activities with civil, structural, mechanical and other trades.
• Identify programme risks, flag delays and propose mitigation.
• Champion safety, review Method Statements and RAMS, conduct inspections and toolbox talks.
• Oversee the inspection and test plan (ITP) for all electrical installations.
• Liaise with the client’s commissioning team and hand over O&M documentation, as‑built drawings and test certificates.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing electrical works on industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical or heavy commercial projects.
• Proven ability to lead multiple electrical subcontractors and large workforces.
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, containment, switchgear and distribution.
• HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, or a time‑served electrical background with site‑management progression.
• SMSTS (or equivalent) and First Aid at Work certification.
