Director of Telco Strategy

About the role

Holafly is seeking a senior leader to define and execute its global telecom strategy. As the Director of Telco Strategy you will shape the core network, SM‑DP+ and MVNX roadmap that powers seamless eSIM connectivity for millions of travelers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own a multi‑year vision for the Core Network, SM‑DP+ and MVNX infrastructure across priority markets.
• Establish a premium travel‑connectivity quality framework, set measurement standards and stay ahead of competitors.
• Engineer wholesale cost structures to reduce data termination expenses across 30+ carrier relationships.
• Model and execute architecture pivots that deliver measurable quality improvements.
• Develop compliant deployment models for markets with roaming restrictions and local regulatory demands.
• Leverage telemetry from 20 M+ users to map geographic performance and proactively flag carrier degradation.
• Lead a distributed global team of network architects, analysts and operations leads, with three direct reports.

Required profile

• 12+ years of senior experience in telecom strategy, cellular network engineering, roaming architecture or MVNO/MVNX strategy.
• Deep technical knowledge of GSMA SGP.22, eUICC remote SIM provisioning, multi‑IMSI management and 4G/5G core networks (Diameter, GTP, IPX).
• Proven track record delivering cross‑functional initiatives across product, operations and commercial teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build and guide globally distributed, high‑performing teams.
• Experience in forecasting, business operations or commercial planning in data‑intensive environments.
• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
