Data Engineer – Azure

About the role

We are looking for a Data Engineer specialized in Azure to design, build and maintain robust data pipelines and storage solutions. You will work within PowerCo’s data platform, leveraging Azure Databricks, Spark and both SQL/NoSQL databases to enable scalable, secure and high‑performance data processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end data pipelines, storage and processing solutions on Azure.
• Manage data integration, modeling, ETL processes and data warehousing.
• Develop and maintain data architecture ensuring scalability, security and availability.
• Operate cloud‑based data services, primarily Azure and Azure Databricks.
• Implement data governance frameworks and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in data modeling, ETL and data warehousing concepts.
• Extensive experience with Spark, Azure Databricks, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Deep understanding of data architecture and security principles.
• Advanced Python scripting skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Proven experience with Azure cloud services and data governance.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
