Application Engineer – Knowledge Services

About the role

You will join Nokia's Knowledge Services team to design, develop, and support applications that automate documentation pipelines. The role focuses on converting XML‑based content into multiple output formats, auto‑generating documentation from R&D data sources, and improving publishing systems for customer documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automation that transforms XML documentation into HTML, PDF and other formats.
• Build systems that generate documentation from YANG models, JSON files and APIs.
• Create and maintain backend services and REST APIs that support documentation workflows.
• Collaborate with engineers, technical writers and product teams to enhance tooling.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across documentation generation and publishing pipelines.
• Support Linux environments and CI/CD processes related to documentation automation.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams.
• Clear communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Python programming and Django framework.
• XML processing and transformation.
