Android Developer – Automotive Apps Market

About the role

We are looking for an Android Engineer to design, standardize, and evolve our Android Automotive Apps Market product. You will create reusable components, work closely with product, architecture, QA and OEM partners, and ensure high‑quality, maintainable Android systems for automotive environments.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate, design and implement new features across apps, services, libraries and SDKs.
• Analyse existing implementations, identify duplication and drive convergence into standardized modules.
• Define and maintain architectural guidelines, coding standards and implementation patterns.
• Collaborate with product management and architecture to shape technical road‑maps.
• Build internal tools, reference implementations and sample apps.
• Improve performance, reliability, startup time and resource usage under automotive constraints.
• Contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and release quality.
• Participate in customer calls, workshops and OEM integration support.
• Document solutions, guidelines and decisions for internal and partner use.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience with Kotlin and/or Java.
• Strong knowledge of Android architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture), Jetpack components and DI frameworks.
• Proven experience refactoring, modularising and standardising codebases.
• Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs, handling asynchronous data flows and background operations.
• Excellent debugging skills, including use of logs, profilers and multiple device/OS versions; automotive or embedded exposure is a plus.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact directly with customers.
