Accountant Trainee – Shared Service Center

About the role

Join SurTec’s Shared Service Center as an Accountant Trainee and support the financial accounting processes for a legal entity in Portugal. You will work with IFRS and local GAAP, focusing on accounts payable and receivable while gaining exposure to full‑cycle financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Support partial or full bookkeeping for one entity, concentrating on accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare reconciled financial performance statements, schedules and analyses for the operating legal entity.
• Participate in team meetings, present ideas and initial solutions, and provide commentary as needed.
• Ensure up‑to‑date accounting standards are applied and flag training needs to keep skills current.
• Assist with ad‑hoc financial reporting requests.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or General Business.
• Initial experience with accounting concepts; IFRS reporting experience in a global setting is a plus.
• Very good command of English.
• High enthusiasm, willingness to learn and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
