Workshop Supervisor

About the role

As a Workshop Supervisor you will lead the front‑line service team at our Lisbon Service Center, acting as a brand ambassador and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You will manage daily operations, safety compliance, and the development of technicians while supporting Tesla’s mission to accelerate sustainable energy.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise health and safety compliance across the center, leading by example.
• Oversee a team of service technicians, set targets and monitor performance.
• Conduct regular one‑to‑one coaching sessions and identify training needs.
• Plan and allocate work based on skill level, capacity and resources.
• Report daily progress and incidents to management.
• Identify workflow roadblocks and provide tools and training to resolve them.
• Manage tooling inventory, cost controls and tool orders.
• Ensure work standards and procedures are up‑to‑date and compliant.
• Hold daily team meetings to outline expectations and workload.
• Serve as the main point of contact for Front of House and warehouse, liaising with customers when needed.
• Motivate the team to drive continuous improvements and efficiencies.
• Liaise with internal teams such as Sales & Delivery and senior management.

Required profile

• Technical automotive background, preferably as a Service Technician.
• Experience working with Electric Vehicles is highly desirable.
• Proven leadership ability and a track record of process innovation.
• Strong analytical mindset to understand and impact key performance indicators.
• Problem‑solving initiative with a calm, considered approach.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to motivate a team.
• Flexibility to work day and evening shifts based on market needs.
• Digitally savvy, quick to adopt new technology and systems.
• Proficient in English; additional local languages a plus.
• Valid driving licence.
