Web & Security Focus Software Engineering Intern

About the role

Join IslaIntel as a remote Web Engineering Intern working on the internal SaaS platform Webby. You will help secure a multi‑tenant application that orchestrates AI coding agents against real GitHub repositories.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive security stress testing of authentication flows, data isolation, API authorization, webhook integrity, and secrets management.
• Translate security findings into concrete platform refinements.
• Develop and maintain Next.js API routes and React components.
• Work with PostgreSQL via Prisma ORM for data access.
• Integrate third‑party services such as GitHub, Stripe, and Cursor Cloud.
• Apply security‑focused engineering practices across the full stack.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Hands‑on web development experience through personal projects, open‑source contributions, or professional work.
• Completed coursework or practical experience in cybersecurity (CTFs, pen‑testing labs, security audits).
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, remote team environment.
