Virtualization Senior Administrator – L2/L3

About the role

Inetum is seeking a Virtualization Senior Administrator (Level 2/3) to manage, optimise and troubleshoot complex virtualised infrastructures across multiple platforms. You will work in a high‑performance enterprise environment, ensuring critical workloads run smoothly and securely.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and support virtualization solutions using VMware, XenServer or KVM.
• Design and manage virtual networks, storage and compute resources.
• Perform patching, upgrades, migrations and CIS‑benchmark hardening.
• Monitor system performance and availability, proactively addressing issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated incidents in a multi‑site environment.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Python or Bash scripting.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) tests and on‑call rotation.
• Review and resolve support tickets, ensuring SLA compliance.
• Document procedures, configurations and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in virtualization or infrastructure roles (L2/L3 level).
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Fluent English (B2‑C1) and good communication skills.

Required skills

• VMware, XenServer, KVM virtualization technologies.
• Virtual network architecture, storage and compute resource management.
• System patching, upgrades, migrations and CIS security hardening.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Python, Bash.
• Disaster Recovery Planning and testing.
• Ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• ITIL change, incident and problem management practices.
• Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes or other container‑based environments.
