UX Designer (6+ years experience)

About the role

Aubay Portugal is seeking an experienced UX Designer to lead end‑to‑end product design for complex desktop software solutions. You will work in a hybrid setting, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to create intuitive, high‑impact user experiences for large organisations in banking, insurance, telecom and energy.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the full design lifecycle from user research and problem definition to high‑fidelity mock‑ups, prototypes and final UI specifications.
• Conduct strategic analysis of user needs and translate them into clear, effective design solutions.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners and stakeholders in Agile development environments.
• Produce design artefacts that align with business goals and technical constraints.
• Maintain design consistency across complex desktop applications, especially in industrial contexts.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience as a UX Designer with a strong focus on both UX and UI.
• Strategic and analytical mindset with proven problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills in advanced English and a proactive, collaborative attitude.

Required skills

• Expert‑level proficiency in Figma.
• Experience with Adobe Suite or Sketch.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in software‑house or technology‑consultancy environments.
