Transport & Logistics Sourcing Specialist

About the role

We are building a specialised procurement capability focused on transport and logistics services for an international business services organisation. The role will influence commercial decisions, supplier selection and cost optimisation across complex, operationally demanding environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and deliver procurement activities for transportation and logistics services.
• Coordinate sourcing processes from market engagement through supplier onboarding.
• Evaluate commercial proposals and support negotiation and contracting discussions.
• Assess logistics networks, supplier landscapes and cost structures to identify improvement opportunities.
• Maintain and develop relationships with carriers, service providers and equipment vendors.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align procurement solutions with operational requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to category‑level initiatives and broader sourcing programmes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 + years of experience in procurement, sourcing or supply‑chain roles.
• Experience with transportation, logistics services or related categories.
• Familiarity with sourcing tools and processes, including supplier selection and commercial evaluation.
• Proven ability to negotiate and manage supplier interactions.
• Understanding of logistics cost components and operational environments.
• Comfortable analysing data to support decision‑making.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
