Trainee Civil Engineer – Roads and Railways

About the role

Quadrante is seeking a motivated Trainee Civil Engineer to join its Roads and Railways department in Lisbon. You will gain hands‑on experience on national and international infrastructure projects, supporting the design and delivery of sustainable transport solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the development of road and railway projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
• Perform geometric design, earthworks, and drainage calculations using specialised software.
• Verify project compliance with national, international, and sector‑specific regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create optimized design solutions.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, project summaries, Bills of Quantities and design specifications.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
• Interest in BIM solutions and willingness to learn road and railway design software.
• Proactive attitude, strong curiosity and motivation to develop technical skills.
• Excellent communication, team spirit and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English (additional languages a plus).
