Trainee BIM Modeler – Civil Draftsman (Structures)

About the role

Quadrante is seeking a motivated Trainee BIM Modeler to join its Energy Business Unit in Porto. You will support the design and development of civil works for substations, wind, solar and battery storage projects, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑growing engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design and development of civil works for energy infrastructure such as substations, wind farms, solar plants and BESS.
• Create technical engineering drawings and 3‑D BIM models in line with company standards and national/international regulations.
• Prepare graphical and modelling bases that support engineering activities.
• Check coordination between disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.
• Contribute to the development of production methods, templates and procedures for technical drawing.

Required profile

• Minimum education at 12th‑grade level or a technical qualification in drafting/design.
• Interest in foundations, earthworks, drainage systems and access roads.
• Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar BIM software; willingness to deepen skills.
• Basic knowledge of Excel and ability to interpret data.
• Adaptability, attention to detail, critical thinking and strong analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and team spirit.
• Professional experience in the energy sector or a related field is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering is a plus.
