About the role

Kraken, part of Payward, is seeking an experienced Tech Recruiter to drive talent acquisition for its global crypto and fintech business. You will operate in a fully remote, async‑native environment, partnering with senior stakeholders to design and execute high‑velocity hiring strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to create data‑driven hiring plans that meet aggressive timelines.
• Develop creative sourcing strategies using market intelligence and AI tools to attract top technical talent.
• Navigate complex environments, initiate uncomfortable conversations, and act relentlessly in the company’s best interest.
• Own the end‑to‑end recruitment process, removing blockers and delivering high‑value hires.
• Leverage AI as the default to accelerate sourcing, screening, market mapping, and reporting.
• Champion Kraken’s culture, ensuring candidates align with the mission and values.
• Contribute to cross‑functional projects that improve global recruiting infrastructure.

Required profile

• Proven recruitment experience in a fast‑growing, high‑bar technology or product organization, preferably in crypto, fintech or similar sectors.
• First‑principles thinker who diagnoses hiring needs from symptoms provided by managers.
• Fluent use of AI tools for sourcing, screening, market mapping, and reporting.
• Relentless energy and high motor, consistently driving results without coasting.
• Scrappy mindset that sees problems as opportunities.
• Strong product sense and appreciation for modern talent‑acquisition tactics.
• High agency, bias for action, and confidence to influence stakeholders in a fully remote, async setting.
• Interest in financial technologies and cryptocurrency.
