Teaching Assistant – International Bilingual School

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join Colégio Internacional de Vilamoura, an international school that blends the Portuguese National Curriculum with the British International Curriculum. The role supports teachers in delivering high‑quality bilingual education and contributes to a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in preparing multilingual learning materials, resources and classroom displays.
• Support lesson delivery by keeping students engaged, focused and motivated.
• Provide targeted academic support to individual pupils or small groups across both language streams.
• Supervise students safely during breaks, lunch, playground time and school excursions.
• Promote a positive, inclusive classroom culture and monitor student well‑being.
• Handle daily classroom administrative tasks, including resource organization and progress tracking.

Required profile

• Degree in Education, Languages, Psychology or a related field (preferred).
• High proficiency in English (mandatory).
• Strong command of Portuguese (advantageous).
• Previous experience working with children in an international or multicultural setting.
• Excellent cross‑cultural communication, adaptability and a collaborative mindset.

Required skills

• Fluency in English.
