Tax Specialist

About the role

Roche is looking for a Tax Specialist to join its finance ecosystem in Lisbon. The role serves as a strategic advisor for the Iberia region, helping the business navigate national and international tax matters while supporting long‑term, sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Advise business units and cross‑functional teams on national and international tax strategies.
• Prepare and file timely tax returns and reports for state, regional and municipal taxes across multiple jurisdictions, supporting month‑end closing.
• Assess the impact of Pillar Two / GloBE regulations and ensure alignment with Roche’s corporate tax strategy.
• Coordinate transfer‑pricing policies, including the preparation of Local Files and documentation for intra‑group transactions.
• Support tax audit procedures and address related requirements.
• Identify, propose and implement tax‑management automation and systematization projects.
• Collaborate on national and international projects, strengthening connections across the Iberia network.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration or Law with a specialization in Tax.
• Robust tax experience in a multinational corporation, major law firm or Big 4 consultancy.
• Deep knowledge of corporate taxation and transfer pricing; familiarity with Pillar Two / GloBE and SAP is a plus.
• Advanced English and Portuguese, intermediate Spanish.
• Analytical, proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and digital transformation.
