Tax Manager (Direct Tax)

About the role

Remote is looking for a Tax Manager – Direct Taxes to lead complex direct tax matters across multiple jurisdictions. You will combine deep technical tax expertise with strategic thinking to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and drive global tax efficiency for a fast‑growing, fully remote organization.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee global direct tax compliance, including corporate income tax and withholding tax filings for all entities.
• Partner with external tax advisors to support filings, documentation, and reporting obligations in multiple jurisdictions.
• Maintain sustainable compliance with local tax authorities and nurture strong relationships.
• Identify, monitor, and address tax‑related risks, implementing proactive mitigation strategies.
• Lead cross‑functional projects and provide actionable tax insights to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in international direct taxation, preferably in a consultancy or multinational corporate setting.
• Strong understanding of global corporate tax rules, cross‑border compliance, tax treaties, and EU directives.
• Demonstrated leadership and project‑management abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Accounting or related field; advanced degree in Taxation is a plus.
