Tax Associate Lawyer

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Tax Associate Lawyer to join our international team and provide expert legal advice on a wide range of tax transactions and business matters. You will work directly with private and corporate clients, ensuring compliance with Portuguese tax law and representing them in disputes and litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive tax advisory services to corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
• Advise clients on local tax implications of business transactions and financial decisions.
• Draft, review, and finalize legal documents such as tax opinions, memoranda, contracts, and agreements.
• Represent clients in tax audits, administrative proceedings, and litigation.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Assist clients in maintaining tax compliance, including meeting filing deadlines and providing required documentation.
• Leverage multidisciplinary expertise to reduce risk and optimize value throughout the deal life‑cycle.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer in Portugal with at least 5 years of post‑qualification experience.
• Proven experience in international taxation, real estate projects, restructuring, and corporate M&A.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
