Tax Analyst – Compliance & Reporting

About the role
The Tax Analyst will ensure compliance with local, federal, and international tax laws for Liberty's operations. You will manage tax accounting, reporting, and audit support across multiple jurisdictions, including Puerto Rico, the US Virgin Islands, and the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and file income tax returns for PR, USVI, and US tax authorities.
- Maintain tax accounting records and reconcile tax‑related general ledger accounts.
- Support income tax audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Calculate personal, real property, and municipal taxes for annual filings.
- Interpret and apply state, local, and international tax statutes and regulations.
- Research technical tax matters and deliver solution‑focused responses.
- Resolve tax‑related inquiries and discrepancies with governmental agencies.
- Develop and implement process improvements and contribute to corporate tax policies.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Taxes, Business Administration, or Legal studies.
- 3‑6 years of experience in tax accounting, compliance, or tax law.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- High ethical standards and confidentiality handling.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
