Systems Administrator (Linux/AIX) – Lisbon

About the role

Join Aubay Portugal as a Systems Administrator and help build and evolve critical Linux and IBM AIX systems that support millions of users across banking, insurance, telecom and energy sectors. You will work in a collaborative, hybrid environment based in Lisbon.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance Linux and IBM AIX servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Automate routine tasks using shell scripts (ksh, bash) and, where applicable, Ansible.
• Configure and troubleshoot networking components such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and sub‑netting.
• Provide technical support to internal teams and external customers.
• Participate in project delivery, contributing to the design and implementation of critical infrastructure.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator, preferably with a Linux focus.
• Strong knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, especially IBM AIX.
• Proficiency with command‑line interface and administration commands.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnet configuration).
• Experience writing shell scripts (ksh, bash) for automation.
• English level B2/C1.
• Eligible to work in Portugal (citizen or valid work permit).
