Systems Administrator

About the role

Aubay Portugal is looking for a Systems Administrator to support IBM AIX environments for its clients in banking, insurance, telecommunications and energy. You will join a collaborative team that values continuous learning and delivers high‑impact projects for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Administer day‑to‑day operations of IBM AIX servers, ensuring availability and stability.
• Perform system updates, patching and routine maintenance under supervision.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents and resolve medium‑complexity technical issues.
• Document configurations and operational procedures while working with infrastructure, network and application teams.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with Unix/Linux operating systems, especially IBM AIX.
• Strong command‑line skills and familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, subnetting).
• Ability to write and maintain shell scripts (ksh, Bash, or generic Shell).
• Proactive attitude, good communication, teamwork and willingness to learn.
