System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced System Administrator to join our team in Portugal. You will be responsible for maintaining Windows Server environments, with a strong focus on Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365. The role combines day‑to‑day operational tasks with collaborative projects across infrastructure and security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer, maintain and support Windows Server environments, especially Active Directory.
• Manage AD objects such as users, groups, computers, GPOs and permissions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AD, DNS, DHCP and authentication services.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange (online and/or on‑prem) and Office 365 environments.
• Ensure system availability, performance, security and compliance with internal standards.
• Perform regular updates, patching, backups and recovery tests.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security and support teams on operations and projects.
• Document configurations, procedures and operational processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Windows System Administrator with hands‑on AD management.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, AD, GPOs, DNS, DHCP and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Experience administering Microsoft Exchange and Office 365, including Exchange Online and Hybrid setups.
• Good troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• EU citizenship or Portuguese work visa/residency.
• Availability to work on‑site two to three times per week.
