System Administrator

About the role

Decskill is seeking a System Administrator to support its clients’ IT infrastructures across its European offices. The role involves ensuring reliable operation of Linux environments, automating processes, and contributing to high‑availability solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux servers.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for system monitoring, data transfer and security tasks.
• Manage MySQL databases, including backups and performance tuning.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git, Ansible and Jenkins.
• Handle file transfers via FTP, SFTP and CFT protocols.
• Support batch chain processes and assist in high‑availability architecture design.

Required profile

• Strong autonomous experience with Red Hat Linux.
• Proficiency in shell scripting (grep, curl, tail, vi, openssl).
• Working knowledge of MySQL.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git, Ansible and Jenkins.
• Basic understanding of FTP/SFTP/CFT, batch chain management and high‑availability concepts.
