System Administrator

About the role

Jobbex is seeking a System Administrator to support one of its clients in Portugal. The role involves managing both Linux and Windows environments, ensuring reliable infrastructure and security across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Linux and Windows systems and related services.
• Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware and XCP‑ng.
• Handle networking, storage, and backup solutions.
• Support identity and access management systems including Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, SAML and NPS.
• Operate security tools like Intune, Microsoft Defender, firewalls and VPNs.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Ansible, Bash, Python and PowerShell.
• Provide monitoring, logging, and produce technical documentation.

Required profile

• Strong experience in Linux and Windows administration.
• Solid knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage and security concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Proficiency in scripting or automation.
• Fluent English communication skills.
