About the role
Velv is seeking a System Administrator to join a fintech project based in Lisbon. The position operates under a hybrid model and requires fluent English communication.
Key responsibilities
- Manage, monitor and diagnose Linux servers, primarily Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Automate routine tasks using Python or Ansible.
- Maintain and troubleshoot storage solutions for distributed systems, including SAN, NAS and RAID configurations.
- Provide support in critical production environments and ensure high availability.
- Collaborate with teams handling Big Data ecosystems when needed.
Required profile
- Strong experience in Linux system administration, preferably with RHEL.
- Proven ability to monitor, supervise and diagnose Linux servers.
- Hands‑on experience with automation tools such as Python or Ansible.
- Knowledge of storage technologies for distributed systems (SAN/NAS/RAID).
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills for complex infrastructure issues.
- Fluent English speaking.
