Supply Chain Team Leader (Coimbra)

About the role

Airbus Portugal is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Team Leader to drive operational excellence in its Coimbra hub. You will act as the bridge between strategic leadership and day‑to‑day execution, guiding a local team that supports Airbus’s core aerospace business.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Head of Supply Chain Management to implement local strategy and policies.
• Develop team competencies, identify training needs, and foster continuous growth.
• Lead process harmonisation, standardisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives across the back‑office ecosystem.
• Support onboarding, ensuring new hires are fluent with IT, HR and supply‑chain tools.
• Serve as the local focal point for sub‑commodities and cascade corporate information.
• Oversee daily supplier‑portfolio management, balancing priorities with digital tools.
• Anticipate operational risks, drive mitigation actions and contribute to strategy definition.
• Monitor team workload and coordinate with Core Country managers.
• Build strong internal customer relationships and resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Assist Heads of Supply Chain on special projects and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial or industrial supply‑chain/procurement environment.
• Proven team‑leadership, conflict‑resolution and employee‑training experience.
• Full professional proficiency in English; additional French, German or Spanish is a plus.
• Commitment to compliance, integrity and sustainable growth.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of SAP.
