Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will lead sourcing initiatives for engineering‑related projects, supporting capital procurement, manufacturing, and construction activities. This role works closely with cross‑functional teams to develop sourcing strategies that reduce costs and improve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary expert for the sourcing organization in assigned categories.
• Identify and implement process improvements to lower Cost of Goods Manufactured.
• Lead cross‑functional sourcing teams in supplier selection, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Create and manage RFP/RFQ events using electronic systems such as ARIBA and SAP.
• Negotiate new or revised master agreements with key suppliers.
• Analyze supplier data to assess financial stability and risk.
• Collaborate with Risk Management, Legal, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance and mitigate exposure.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor supplier performance and stability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least four years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or supply chain within a regulated industry.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong project management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ARIBA procurement system.
• Proficiency with SAP procurement modules.
• Experience conducting RFP/RFQ processes and negotiating master agreements.
• Knowledge of CAPEX procurement for engineering, manufacturing, and construction projects.
• Ability to assess supplier financial risk and manage performance metrics.
