Strategic Sourcing Manager – Capital & Operations

About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Manager leads end‑to‑end sourcing and supplier‑management for capital, site engineering, and operations functions. Acting as the category expert, the manager drives cost‑effective procurement, compliance, and continuous improvement across a portfolio of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary subject‑matter expert for assigned sourcing categories.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities and analyze supplier financial stability, performance, and risk.
• Establish metrics and KPIs to monitor supplier performance and mitigate risks.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, negotiation, and master agreement execution.
• Partner with business areas, engineering, finance, quality, and risk management to align sourcing with project needs.
• Drive operational improvements using Lean and Operational Excellence principles.
• Create and manage electronic RFPs using ARIBA and SAP, and execute purchase orders.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation of all sourcing decisions.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in sourcing for engineering, construction, automation, and validation services.
• Strong background in equipment sourcing, category‑management, and supplier development.
• Proven negotiation and contract management capabilities.
• Excellent organizational, project‑management, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively with senior management and cross‑functional teams.
