Solutions/Application Architect – Lisbon

About the role

We are looking for a Solutions/Application Architect to join our Lisbon office. In this role you will translate business and technical requirements into robust, scalable and secure solutions, shaping the architecture of our DPP components.

Key responsibilities

• Define and guide the functional and technical architecture of DPP components.
• Design technical specifications, data models, APIs and related documentation.
• Ensure solutions comply with architectural, security and quality standards.
• Provide technical leadership and support to development teams throughout implementation.
• Review technical designs, resolve complex challenges and collaborate with architects, analysts and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Strong experience in application and micro‑services architecture.
• Hands‑on expertise with Java, Spring Boot and RESTful APIs (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI).
• Proficiency in containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker) and cloud‑native design.
• Solid knowledge of MongoDB data modelling and modern architectural patterns such as DDD, Event‑Driven Architecture, CQRS and Event Sourcing.
• Understanding of identity and access management (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT) and application security.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and software development best practices.
• Familiarity with European data‑protection regulations (GDPR/EUDPR).
