Solutions Architect

About the role

BIP is expanding its xTech Center of Competence in Portugal and seeks a Solutions Architect to design end‑to‑end solutions across applications, integration, data and infrastructure. You will work within a multidisciplinary team of cloud, data, AI and engineering specialists, supporting complex transformation programs for large organisations.

Key responsibilities

• Define solution architectures for business applications, digital platforms and modernization initiatives.
• Design solutions for public, private and hybrid clouds using Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, AWS or similar platforms.
• Shape integration architectures with APIs, event‑driven patterns, messaging platforms and hybrid connectivity.
• Contribute to data and AI solutions, including data platforms and analytics foundations.
• Ensure designs meet security, scalability, observability, performance and FinOps principles.
• Collaborate with BIP technical specialists and support client engagements with pragmatic solution design.

Required profile

• Approximately 5 years of experience in software engineering, cloud, integration or solution architecture.
• Proven ability to design solutions across multiple layers (applications, infrastructure, APIs, integration, data).
• Strong communication skills and experience working in delivery teams and client‑facing contexts.
