Software QA Engineer

About the role

As a QA Test Engineer based in Lisbon, you will join Bose's growing Quality Engineering team to validate consumer audio products such as headphones, earbuds, Bluetooth speakers, and home‑theater systems. The role combines strong manual testing expertise with increasing ownership of automation and test strategy for complex hardware‑software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own feature‑level quality and end‑to‑end testing of consumer audio products.
• Design and execute risk‑based test strategies, including manual, exploratory and automated tests.
• Validate firmware, mobile integrations and cross‑device Bluetooth interactions in real‑world scenarios.
• Perform debugging, log and trace analysis, and root‑cause investigations across embedded systems and mobile apps.
• Develop and maintain test plans, regression suites and automation frameworks (e.g., Python).
• Integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous validation.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams and participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies.

Required profile

• Proven manual testing experience with complex hardware‑software systems.
• Experience in automated test development and scripting.
• Familiarity with Bluetooth connectivity testing and audio performance validation.
• Ability to analyze logs, traces and system behavior to isolate defects.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
