Software Engineer SAR

About the role

Tekever is looking for an engineer with strong technical foundations in mathematics, electromagnetism, digital signal processing (DSP) and programming to join its SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) systems team. No prior radar or SAR experience is required: the candidate builds expertise on the job, supported by the team, and joins the wider test team on flight test campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Apply fundamentals in mathematics, electromagnetism and DSP to understand, validate and improve SAR/radar system behaviour, building deeper radar-specific expertise over time.
• Develop and maintain software (C, C++, Python) supporting radar/SAR system operation, testing and data processing.
• Support TX/RX lab testing, document results and validate signal behaviour against baseline references.
• Take part in flight test campaigns alongside pilots and other team members, and contribute to test operations readiness through scheduling, documentation and coordination with Product Assurance and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to the review and use of test and software infrastructure.
• Work closely with software, hardware and systems engineering peers, including embedded, Processing System (PS) and RF specialists, and communicate proactively on progress, blockers and test results.

Required profile

• MSc in Electronics Engineering, Physics, Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Strong foundations in mathematics, electromagnetism and DSP.
• Programming experience in C, C++ and Python.
• Comfortable working in Linux environments.
• Autonomous, proactive learner motivated to build radar/SAR expertise from general fundamentals; good team player and clear communicator.

Required skills

• C, C++ and Python programming
• Familiarity with git and standard code review/documentation practices (e.g. Jira, Scrum)
• Nice to have: embedded systems, PS software (ARM-based platforms, Orin), RF systems, SAR or radar experience, FPGA/Verilog, and knowledge of the Odin programming language
