Data & AI Product Owner (Hybrid)

About the role

Tekever Porto is hiring a Data & AI Product Owner on a hybrid basis. The role defines and drives the product strategy, roadmap and execution of data and AI initiatives, requiring a deep understanding of data science, machine learning and AI technologies and the ability to turn complex technical concepts into business solutions. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing AI products from conception to launch.

Key responsibilities

• Define and communicate the product vision, strategy and roadmap for the AI and data products in the portfolio
• Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap with milestones, deliverables and timelines
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, business analysts and customers to gather requirements, prioritise features and align on goals
• Lead the product lifecycle from ideation and design through implementation, testing and release, ensuring quality, scalability and performance
• Manage the product backlog, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritise by business value
• Lead sprint planning and reviews, define and track KPIs, and monitor product performance and feedback
• Own end-to-end delivery of the Data & AI products and stay up to date with industry trends

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering or a related field (Master's a plus)
• 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or similar in the tech industry, focused on data and AI products
• Preferred working location: UK, Portugal, France and/or Spain
• Advanced Portuguese and English, with proven fluency at C2 level in both
• Proven leadership, project management and communication skills

Required skills

• AI/ML concepts, data analytics and data engineering
• AI platforms and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch and scikit-learn
• Agile and Scrum, with Jira
• Ideally PSPO I or CSPO certification
