Senior Tax Associate

About the role

This confidential, direct‑hire opportunity is with a well‑established CPA firm in the San Juan metro area. The Senior Tax Associate will work on complex tax engagements, leveraging global network resources and advancing toward leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex corporate and individual tax returns, ensuring compliance with Puerto Rico and Federal regulations.
• Represent clients before local and federal agencies, including the Puerto Rico Department of Treasury, IRS, and CRIM.
• Conduct in‑depth tax research and provide proactive planning recommendations.
• Guide and mentor junior tax staff, serving as a technical resource.
• Collaborate directly with partners and high‑profile clients on strategic tax planning.

Required profile

• BBA in Accounting; CPA license (or parts passed) highly desirable.
• Hands‑on experience in tax preparation, compliance, and review within a public accounting environment.
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish with strong professional communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple client engagements.
