About the role
Bitsight is looking for a Senior Software Engineer I to help scale its SaaS platform during a period of rapid user growth. You will work on improving API performance, evolving the microservice architecture, and collaborating with DevOps to enhance CI/CD pipelines.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain, build, and optimize REST APIs to handle increasing data volumes.
- Decouple parts of the primary backend service and evaluate microservice migration opportunities.
- Design and implement non‑REST APIs such as WebSockets for real‑time notifications when needed.
- Champion best practices for microservice design and work closely with DevOps to improve production and developer experience.
Required skills
- Experience with REST API development and scaling.
- Knowledge of microservice architecture and service decomposition.
- Familiarity with real‑time communication technologies (e.g., WebSockets).
- Understanding of CI/CD processes and tooling.
