Senior .NET (C#) Software Engineer – Global eTrading Platforms

About the role

Join a tier‑one global Corporate and Institutional Banking institution as a Senior .NET Software Engineer on the Global Markets eTrading team in Lisbon. You will design and maintain low‑latency, high‑throughput services that power real‑time FX and Commodities trading for large institutional clients.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement real‑time, low‑latency electronic trading modules using .NET/C#.
• Influence system design and framework choices to optimise platform performance.
• Drive high engineering standards across the agile lifecycle, including technical analysis, documentation, code reviews and automated testing.
• Collaborate with front‑end teams using JavaScript/TypeScript to integrate visualisation components with back‑end trading logic.
• Partner with production support engineers to manage releases, CI pipelines and component maintenance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional C#/.NET development experience, preferably in real‑time, high‑availability systems.
• Proven experience building complex desktop UIs with Windows Presentation Foundation (WPF).
• Strong understanding of Test‑Driven Development (TDD) and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to quickly learn capital‑markets concepts and work effectively in a globally distributed team.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
