Senior Legal Counsel – Multi‑jurisdictional Corporate & Fintech

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to own end‑to‑end legal processes for a fast‑growing group operating across the UK, Cyprus, the EU and other jurisdictions. You will design, implement and continuously improve legal workflows, working closely with the founders and leveraging AI tools to increase efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise legal workflows as the business scales.
• Provide day‑to‑day corporate support for company incorporations and ongoing maintenance in multiple jurisdictions (UK, Cyprus, EU, Estonia, Poland, Latvia, etc.).
• Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide range of commercial agreements, including service, white‑label, licensing, partnership and customer contracts.
• Ensure product and service compliance with UK and EU fintech regulations and support financial licensing processes.
• Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions and oversee related documentation and compliance communication.
• Handle intellectual property matters, including trademark registration, protection and the Cyprus IP Box regime.
• Support M&A transactions through legal due diligence, documentation and coordination with external advisors.
• Identify legal and regulatory risks and provide practical, business‑oriented advice.
• Maintain accurate corporate records and liaise with external law firms, secretaries, auditors and regulators.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory developments and fintech legislation.
• Actively use AI tools to streamline research, drafting and document management.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a Legal Counsel, Corporate Lawyer or similar role.
• Strong background in corporate law, commercial contracts and regulatory compliance.
• Experience supporting companies across multiple jurisdictions, especially the UK, Cyprus and the EU.
• Good understanding of fintech, payments, e‑money or broader financial services regulation.
