Senior Java Developer – Backend & Cloud

About the role

Devoteam is looking for a Senior Java Developer to design, implement and maintain high‑performance backend services. You will work in a multidisciplinary team that blends cloud expertise, security, and innovative software engineering to deliver value‑driven solutions for clients across EMEA.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java backend services using OOP principles and design patterns.
• Write infrastructure‑as‑code with Terraform and manage deployments on Azure Cloud.
• Implement unit and integration tests following TDD and Shift‑Left practices.
• Integrate services with Kafka messaging and GraphQL Federation.
• Deploy, monitor and operate applications in Kubernetes environments.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, providing technical guidance and solving complex problems.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Strong grasp of object‑oriented programming, design patterns and software architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Git and automated testing.
• Proven ability to work with Kafka, Kubernetes and Azure Cloud services.
• Excellent analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
