Senior International Legal Counsel (Commercial)

About the role

As a Senior International Legal Counsel you will join Sodexo Business Services' Global Client Contracts team. Reporting to the Legal Director M&A and Global Client Contracts, you will provide high‑quality legal support for strategic, multi‑jurisdictional projects and work closely with finance, tax, insurance and other internal experts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the negotiation and drafting of international and country‑specific client contracts from RFP through implementation.
• Support the Group Contract Management team and local legal counsels on international client agreements.
• Contribute to compliance initiatives covering competition law, anti‑corruption, data privacy and related areas.
• Assist the global network of lawyers handling strategic accounts, sharing tools and best practices.
• Develop legal awareness programs and support organizational adaptation to evolving legal and client requirements.

Required profile

• 10+ years of relevant legal experience with extensive commercial contracting exposure.
• Bar admission in good standing and an LLM from a leading university.
• Strong knowledge of both common law and civil law systems.
• Proven ability to work in multicultural, multi‑jurisdictional environments.
• Hands‑on, results‑driven attitude with capacity to manage short‑turnaround projects.
• Excellent diplomatic skills for handling sensitive legal issues.
